Elegant roots

Designer Runa Klock has used nature and the beautiful curves of roots as inspiration for her Root tables. The series consists of six tables in different shapes, sizes, and heights that complement each other and can be used alone or in combination. Root can be easily folded for more environmentally friendly transport. Root was launched during the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2017.

Panel remarks

This is a successful variation of the simple, classic side table. Inspiration from the root system of a tree is subtly handled in the simple undercarriage, and the deliberate choice of material means this table will stand the test of time and age with dignity. We also like the fact that it is easy to disassemble and transport and more eco-friendly when flat-packed. The fact that the table top is organically dyed in grain, does not contain toxins, and is made from residual products from the forestry industry only emphasises Root's rightful position on the podium as a modern piece of designer furniture in a classic tradition.
