GO!
April GO is a series of lightweight yet sturdy furniture designed for use in public urban spaces. The series consists of stackable chairs and benches, folding tables, and matching planters. April GO was developed for Times Square in New York and has also become a key furnishing element in Oslo’s "car-free city life" project.
Panel remarks
Yes! This is a very successful product that stands out in terms of both appearance and quality. The simple construction gives a light and inviting impression but conceals the fact that the furniture is suitably heavy. This is clever for a number of reasons: it doesn’t blow around when it gets a bit windy, nor is it easy for thieves to walk off with. April GO doesn’t look at all "public" and certainly wouldn’t look out of place in any private city garden. The fact that production takes place in Norway and uses local materials of high quality, as well as renewable energy, only emphasises Vestre's position as a premier supplier of urban furniture. Go, Vestre, GO!
