The projects were funded by the Design-Driven Innovation Programme (DIP) as part of the government’s Time Thieves Initiative. The initiative was launched by the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation (KMD) and focuses on user needs in order to create an easier everyday for people and reduce the bureaucratic burden.
Experiences from the three projects show that the design methodology used is well suited to identify and eliminate time thieves in the public sector and improve the quality of services provided. By basing the development of services on user needs, the projects have resulted in solid concepts that are now being implemented in the three health trusts.
