About Event

How can architects, urban planners and the building sector take a leading role on meeting challenges of segregation and inequality in our future cities?  Can citizen involvement in planning and development of the built environment improve both cultural, social and economic inequalities and drive innovation? And how can an Inclusive Design approach be applied in complex architectural processes with many requirements and regulations, be a profitable business advantage?

On 10 May Design and Architecture Norway (DOGA) invite you to their book launch of Innovating with People - Inclusive Design and Architecture. The book gives a practical introduction to how Inclusive Design is as a strategy for innovation in any design or architecture process to develop user-friendly products, services and built environments contributing to a more inclusive society. The idea that Inclusive Design can influence and benefit architecture and urban design processes are not new, so what would it take to make it common practice? Join us to hear and interact with practicing architects and international experts from education, research and legislation on barriers and opportunities with Inclusive Architecture.

The event is in collaboration with NAL (Norwegian Association of Norwegian Architects).
